Indiana University South Bend offers special resources to seniors in high school who are incoming freshmen.
High school seniors may automatically qualify for admission based scholarships and may also apply for additional scholarships through the Selective Scholarship Application. The application deadline has been extended through January 26, 2018.

Admission Based Scholarships
Indiana South Bend is excited to offer the Titan Scholarship Award program to recognize outstanding graduating high school seniors.
The following Titan Awards are automatically offered to qualifying high school students when they are admitted to IU South Bend on or before March 10th for the fall semester. Recipients will receive the highest Titan Award for which they qualify based on available funding. Titan Onsite Awards will be increased to a Titan Silver or Titan Gold Award when students are fully admitted to IU South Bend and meet the additional GPA and test scores as outlined below. To accept this award, recipients will need to complete the Office of Admission’s confirmation process no later than May 1st.
Titan awards are automatically renewable for an additional three years when a student maintains a minimum 2.8 GPA, enrolls full-time each fall and spring term, and completes 30 credit hours in the academic year!
21st Century Scholar Housing Award
Ten (10) 21st Century Scholars admitted to IU South Bend have the opportunity to receive a two-year housing scholarship to reside in River Crossing during their Freshman and Sophomore years. The award will provide $2500 annually and is renewable for a second year when recipients have successfully completed 30 credit hours and maintained a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. These awards are provided automatically to students admitted by December 1st with a strong record of academic achievement. Students must be eligible 21st Century Scholars to receive this award. Award letters are sent directly to recipients.
Students receiving admission to the Honors Program at IU South Bend are automatically considered for the $500 Honors Initial Scholarship. Students reaching a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA or greater and an old combined reading and math SAT score of at least 1100 (or ACT equivalent) or new SAT score of 1170 (Evidence- Based Reading and Writing+Math) are candidates for the prestigious Honors Program and scholarship. The scholarship may be renewable for students meeting program requirements. To find out more about the program please visit the Honors Program website.
Selective Student Scholarships
This scholarship application is intended to identify outstanding high school seniors from Indiana and the greater Michiana region that plan to enroll as full-time students at the IU South Bend campus immediately after graduation during the Fall 2018 term. The application deadline has been extended to January 26, 2018. To be considered for these scholarships students must meet the following general criteria in addition to the specific criteria listed for the different programs below:
- Graduate from an accredited high school no later than June 30th.
- Plan to enroll full-time at IU South Bend, beginning in the Fall semester.
- Have a completed IU South Bend admissions application on file.

*If you took the SAT prior to March 2016, your score is an old score.
Beginning March 2016, the new scoring system was put in place and all scores are considered new.
