The Indiana Kids program provides free tutoring, mentoring, and college and career workshops
The IU Indiana Kids program is a collaboration between Serve Indiana and all seven Indiana University campuses. Locally, IU South Bend provides tutoring, mentoring, and college and career workshops for students in grades 6 through 12 and their parents/caregivers.
Program Components and Services
As a participant, students have access to a number of FREE services:
- Tutoring—Tutoring is provided both in person and online in math, English, science, and social studies.
- Mentoring—Mentors talk with students about academic goals and challenges, time management and study strategies, and positive decision making.
- Workshops—Topics include preparing for college and careers and arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) enrichment.
- Resources-Topics include PSAT and SAT prep, information about scholarships and financial aid, and English, math, science, and social studies reference guides.
